Project Description
A publishing platform for a growing body of ideas
Remeoner developed the Urban Missiology website as a WordPress publication for theology, social justice, education, community advocacy, and personal narratives. For Urban Missiology International, Inc., the assignment extended beyond the original build: Remeoner hosts and secures the website and provides ongoing content publishing and technical support.
The goal was to give an expanding editorial program a practical home, with clear ways for readers to find articles, videos, events, and organizational information. The resulting website combines publication design with the systems needed to keep new content organized and available.
Logo redesign for Urban Missiology International
Remeoner also redesigned Urban Missiology International’s logo several years before this portfolio update. The design combines green leaves carrying the UMI initials, a globe formed from human profiles, and the organization’s name.
Urban Missiology website design built around discovery

The homepage works as an editorial hub. Featured stories, breaking news, trending articles, editor selections, videos, and popular-content modules offer several paths into the publication. New stories can appear alongside evergreen material, helping readers explore beyond a chronological blog feed.

Subject categories—including Faith & Social Justice, Race & Religion, Teaching & Learning, and Life Stories—organize the archive. An article can belong to several relevant subjects while remaining accessible through dedicated category pages.

Hosting, security, and ongoing website support
Remeoner provides hosting and security for UrbanMissiology.org, along with WordPress administration and technical support. This continuing relationship supports the publication after launch as its content library and editorial needs evolve.
The engagement brings website care and content production together. Remeoner maintains the platform while preparing supplied material for publication, managing imagery, applying editorial categories, and checking presentation before release.
Content publishing with SEO and AEO preparation
Remeoner’s publishing work includes WordPress formatting, featured and inline image preparation, descriptive headings, search titles and metadata, taxonomy assignments, contextual references, and internal links where appropriate.
For example, “Hope Is a Discipline in Hard Times” includes descriptive sections, a Featured Answer, frequently asked questions, topical tags, and a source reference. These elements make the material easier to scan and provide explicit context for search and answer engines.

Events and multimedia within the publication
The same editorial system accommodates event announcements and video content. Event pages can combine contextual copy with practical details such as the speaker, date, time, venue, and participation format. Related topics connect programming to the wider archive.
The Gina Zurlo lecture page illustrates this approach, presenting structured event information alongside relevant reading. The homepage also includes a dedicated video section.

A repeatable publishing workflow
Remeoner developed an API-assisted process that uses the WordPress REST API to turn prepared editorial material into drafts. Repeatable production tasks can be handled programmatically while editorial judgment remains part of presentation, SEO review, quality control, and scheduling.
- Prepare: organize supplied copy, imagery, categories, and metadata.
- Create the draft: transfer prepared content into WordPress through the API-assisted workflow.
- Review: check formatting, references, imagery, and SEO settings.
- Publish: schedule or release the reviewed content.
This workflow supports ongoing production without treating each article as a separate website project.
Documented search discovery
From September 28 through October 25, 2026, Google Search Console recorded 111 clicks and approximately 5,550 impressions for UrbanMissiology.org in Web search. Its generative AI features report recorded 743 impressions during the same period.
Individual stories appeared in both reports. “Hope Is a Discipline” recorded 684 Web search impressions, 4 clicks, and 66 generative AI impressions. The Anna Julia Cooper article recorded 693 Web search impressions and 10 clicks.
These observations document discovery of published content. The engagement centers on website development, hosting, security, and content publishing; the figures are not presented as campaign growth or attributed to any single optimization. Generative AI impressions represent appearances rather than visits and are included within overall Web search reporting.

Built to support the next publication
Urban Missiology demonstrates how website design, hosting, security, and a consistent publishing process can work together. Remeoner’s contribution is both the website readers see and the continuing production support that keeps its editorial program moving.
